We have currently started the migration process to a new clinical system with the transfer taking place on 27th March 2018.
The whole process will take 12 weeks to fully complete and during this time, we ask that you bear with us as it may be a very busy time for staff.
We want to ensure that the care our patients receive by the Practice is not affected however, there are a few important issues for you to note during this time:
- Online Access: We are not accepting any new online access request forms during this period. Current online access users accounts will NOT transfer over with the new clinical system. If you wish to continue using online access, please inform us of this after 9th April 2018 via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will re-issue your log in details and send this back to you via email.
- Medications requests: If you have regular medication, there will be a crossover period between 18th March - 28th March where the GP's may not be able to issue you your routine medication. If you are aware that you will need a new repeat prescription during this time, please put in your written requests or book a GP appointment before the 27th February so that the GP can post date your prescription for you to ensure you are not short of any medication during this time. The Urgent Care Centre will NOT see you for any repeat medication requests.
- Clinical and Admin Time: As you will be aware, it will be vital that all staff are fully trained on the new clinical system to ensure we are able to provide an efficient service as soon as we have migrated. There may be a number of days during the migration process and after the transfer that the Practice will need to close to provide training to staff, we will try our best to minimise any disruption to patients by closing over lunch time if possible. Please note, medical care will still be available to you during any closure dates.
- Transfer day Tuesday 27th March: During the transfer day, we will be running emergency only clinics as we will not be able to use the computers during this transfer. This also means we will not be able to book any appointments during this day and deal with enquiries that require the clinical system. Where possible, please try to avoid contacting the practice on this day unless you feel your condition/query is urgent.
This page will continue to be updated during the migration process and again we ask that you are patient with all our staff during this period.
